Imagine a world of hope, where for tens of thousands of years, humans have thrived in forests and deserts, living in harmony with the land.

The tiger, at the top of the apex predators, maintains the balance in the wild, ensuring that no species overpopulates and disrupts the ecosystem.

Cooking Wild was born out of this profound connection with nature. It’s a journey of rediscovering ourselves, our roots, and giving back to the environment. When we travel, we eat, and when we eat, we travel. This adventure began decades ago with visits to the jungles of Corbett & Madhya Pradesh, learning from tribal communities about how they utilized the Fruits of the Land, sea, rivers, and ponds.

This journey continues through weekly village markets and fairs, exploring fresh produce from nearby farms and villages. From the barter system to cash economies, these gatherings bring communities together where neighbors are kind and connected. Cooking Wild takes guests through the nuances of village life, their foods, and their stories.

The magic of cooking techniques varies across our beautiful landscape. From khad cooking in sand to preparing meals in earthen pots over coal, each type of wood imparts a unique flavor to the dish. Techniques like smoking fish with hay or cooking on stone slabs showcase the deep connection between food and the natural world.

From jungle safaris to forest bathing, trekking trails, and visiting potters’ villages, you’ll learn how the magic of different arts combines to produce amazing food.

Cooking Wild isn’t just about cooking for today; it’s about relearning lost techniques and preserving them for future generations. It’s about teaching respect for the deep connection with nature that city dwellers have lost. Nature is a living heirloom, crafted over millennia, and our journey is to become part of Earth’s story—not to fight it.
